Please note that there is no SIXT branch inside the airport. We offer a complementary shuttle service to our branch located in Plaza Futura less than 10 minutes away. Please do not follow the signs leading you to "Rent a Car". Proceed to exit the terminal through the arrivals exit doors (where the red taxis are parked) and turn left to reach the outdoor coffee shop. There you will find our shuttle pick up, running every 10-15 minutes.

Rented a 4x4 SUV for 3 weeks. First it was a Hyundai Tucson or similar, then changed to some brand I didn't know, and when we arrived it was a Geely, also a brand I am not familiar with. It was still a similar vehicle in the class I ordered and turned out to be a good quality 4x4 for some of the really bad roads we encountered. We went to some remote places with steep inclines/declines and lots of potholes in every direction and the vehicle handled it all - slow and careful driving, but I never felt unsafe in the vehicle. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pick-up and return were easy and quick. Our last night we stayed at the airport hotel for an early morning flight. There's a great restaurant, Little Lucha, in the same parking lot as SIXT Liberia, so we had dinner there, returned the car, and the staff gave us a ride back to our hotel afterwards. Great service, all around.

SIXT to the rescue! After a long flight into Liberia airport in Costa Rica, we had a horrible experience with EuropCar, who we had reserved with prior to our trip! Across the parking lot we saw SIXT and thought we would check out our options! Well thank God we did! Went in feeling super deflated and left happy quickly thereafter, with a car at a fair price and a customer service experience that you don't find very often these days! Thank you Bryan for starting our holiday off on the right foot, when it so easily could have been the wrong one!
