Friendly staff. Car had faulty auto-stop they didn't tell us about till we had to ask what all the warning signals were. Paid the crazy 90Euros for snow chains only to find we were given snow shoes which were far too large for the tyres. They did work , but made a terrible noise with other cars and pedestrians pointing at them as they looked like they were coming off. However we were pleased that Sixt refunded the 90euro when shown photos of badly they fitted.

No screen wash whatsoever. Tyre pressure monitor would not go off even though tyres were equal. Worrying when it's not your car and you are driving in an unfamiliar place.
One very important thing...in the Savoi/Alpes area it is compulsory between November and March to have winter tyres fitted or carry snow chains. I had to pay extra for snow chains without any idea how I was going to fit them if the weather got bad. I think hire cars should be made to have winter tyres fitted as standard as per the French government's rules. Surely the safety of the hirer is important?
However, on a good note the staff were extremely helpful and considerate. Spoke English which was a bonus for me. Easy to follow instructions for drop off carpark and didn't charge me for the small amount of fuel i had not been able to top up due to the petrol station being closed.
I will definitely be using them again.
