This is a Meet & Greet station. At Ronneby Airport, civil airlines fly alongside the air force. It is therefore very likely when you land to catch a glimpse of one of the JAS 39 airplanes lie constantly in wait at the airport. Karlskrona is located just thirty kilometres from Ronneby and it's fast to get there with a rental car. With its protected location and proximity to the continent, the location was a perfect fit as Swedens new naval port at the end of the eighteenth century when Sweden still had super power ambitions. Since 1998, this unique naval base has been one of UNESCOs World Heritage Sites. Here you can wander among the parade buildings, citadel, fortress and gunpowder magazine with or without guide. Take your children to the naval museum and experience former warships, figureheads and an underwater tunnel leading to a genuine shipwreck.
From the airport, it is not more than half an hour by a rental car to Glasriket which attracts one million visitors every year. The designer's glassworks that have made Swedish glass famous around the world are located close by each other. At the glassworks, you can see how the glass is produced, and even give glass blowing a go yourself.
